How do I add a librarian in my D2L course?

To enroll someone as a librarian in your D2L course, begin on the D2L course home page, then click on the "Edit Course" link in the upper right. that will send you to this page:

In the Learner Management section select Classlist

From the Classlist page you select Add existing users, but you must search for the users.

You can then search on various parameters, usually by last name.

You will also want to ask the librarian if they can be a part of your class. Usually the answer will be yes, but without being previously notified, the enrollment might be a bit of a surprise, and it would be good to look into some instruction options with the librarian. If you are unsure who to ask, contact the librarian liaison to your department

The search function returns results from across the EIU list of D2L users, so this is another reason to have an individual in mind. 

The librarian role allows the librarian to add and edit content but not to remove anything you as instructor have added.
