How do I cite a source?

Accurately citing the research you use when writing a paper is extremely important. You need to give credit to the author(s) whose ideas you use. Correct citations also protect you from accusations of plagiarism. There are dozens of different citation styles for different disciplines. Links to style guides for MLA, APA, Chicago/Turabian, or the Council of Science Editors (CSE), and others can be found on the Citation Styles research guide.
