Does the library offer Microphones?
Several types of microphone are available for checkout:
Snowball Blue
USB microphones appropriate for podcasting, video narration, and streaming. Easy plug-and-play setup. This is a directional microphone and is suitable for one person speaking. It will not pick up sound from the back or sides of the microphone.
Lapel Microphone
Corded microphone with a 3.5mm plug. Connects to phone, camera, or computer with a 3.5mm (1/8") jack. Appropriate for casual recording or streaming.
Rode Podcaster
Broadcast-quality directional USB microphone. This microphone captures a tight cardioid polar pattern that reduces room noise. This microphone is designed to pick up one person speaking directly into the microphone. It will not record sounds from the back or sides of the microphone.
Webcams with Microphone
Webcams have an internal microphone appropriate for Teams, Zoom, and other conferencing and calling applications.
